UK Passport Holders
UAE
- Travel Document Requirements
- You must present a valid passport for entry. Travel documents must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival. The UAE government does not accept 12-page emergency passports for entry to the UAE.
- Visa Requirements
- British nationals with a “British Citizen” passport do not need a visa for a maximum of 90 days.
- Dual Nationals Information
- Passengers with dual nationality must arrive and depart with the same passport.
- Gender Restrictions
- Passengers must have a travel document with gender “F” or “M” to enter and transit. Passengers without Male or Female in their passports will be denied boarding or entry.

- Medication

- “In the UAE, some UK prescribed and over-the-counter medicines are considered controlled substances. You must get approval in advance from the UAE Ministry of Health to bring medication. Apply online to bring medication to the UAE. The UAE authorities advise that applications are processed within 5 working days.

Mauritius
- Travel Document Requirements
- You must present a valid passport for entry. Travel documents must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival.
- Visa Requirements
- No visa required.
- Prior to your arrival, you will need to complete an arrival form within 15 days before travel. More information will be shared with you in December.
- Vaccine Requirements:
- A certificate of yellow fever vaccination is required from travellers aged 1 year or over arriving from countries they consider to have risk of yellow fever transmission, see Government of Mauritius website for details (this differs from the World Health Organization list of countries with risk of yellow fever transmission).

- Medication
- The legal status and regulation of some medicines prescribed or bought in the UK can be different in other countries.

- You can bring common medicines for your own use but you must carry a copy of the prescription. Tranquillisers, hypnotics, narcotics and other strong painkillers will require prior authorisation. You can check details with the Mauritius Ministry of Health and Wellness. If in any doubt, get advice from the Mauritius High Commission in the UK .
Madagascar
- Travel Document Requirements
- To enter Madagascar, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you arrive. It must also have at least 2 blank pages.
- Visa Requirements
- There is no VISA fee for stays of less than 15 days. Nevertheless, you must pay an administrative fee of 10 Euros for border control formalities.
- Vaccine Requirements:
- A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers over 9 months of age arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission and for travellers having transited for more than 12 hours through an airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.

MAYOTTE (FRANCE)
- Travel Document Requirements
- Your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 3 months after the date you plan to leave Mayotte.
- Visa Requirements
- Mayotte is an Overseas Department of France and so is part of the EU.
- You can visit Mayotte without a visa for up to 90 days for tourism or business.
- Vaccine Requirements:
- You must have a certificate to prove you’ve had a yellow fever vaccination if you’re coming from a country listed as a transmission risk.

TANZANIA
- Travel Document Requirements
- You must present a valid passport for entry. Travel documents must be valid for at least 6 months upon arrival.
- Visa Requirements
- Visa required.
- It is no longer possible to get a visa from the Tanzanian High Commission in London. Your visa can be obtained on arrival (at the port) or online at LINK. For cruisers on the Stories of Stone Town Tour, we strongly recommend completing the visa application online prior to your cruise.

- Visa applications are usually processed within seven to ten days.
