Effective September 3, 2023, Canadian passport holders will no longer be able to obtain a visa upon arrival in Egypt. You will be required to obtain a visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate in your country of residence.

Please contact your nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate before you go.

A delay in processing time could be expected due to an additional “pre-approval process” exercised by the embassy.

Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of arrival in Egypt.
